The characters all had their unique personalities portrayed well by their actors. There are several tracks that stood out but as this is a mash up game, the music as well has more returning tracks than original ones.
It’s a staple for the franchise and once again returns here. The music in game is a mix of Chinese and Japanese inspired tunes fused with energetic rock. Using in game models but pre-recording them is fine, but the quality of the videos felt lacking each time to me, seemingly lower resolution than needed with cloudy image quality. The visual quality of them did leave a lot to be desired. Some interesting plot moments take place here however.

There are also several movie scenes to enhance the story but they are nothing worth writing home about exactly. To mix things up in the Orochi series, monsters are introduced such as Colossi or Chaos Origin ghost… things. They are made to be seen briefly as your character dispatches them with ease and nothing more. In battle the generic enemies that are fought against are not quite so detailed.

While it can be described as 3D anime, not realistic but certainly not full blown anime style such as Guilty Gear or Tales. From elaborate haircuts, fancy impractical armor, to the fantastical weaponry on display, one of the Warriors franchise defining traits is their character design. Characters have tons of personality that is expressed in their visual design. To start things off the character models for the playable roster are quite good in my opinion. With nearly 200 characters to model and massive hordes of generic fodder to smash through the game has to have some restrictions to run as decently as it does. Warriors titles never win visuals of the year awards and they are not noted for their sound design either. The battles are massive, the attacks insane, but nothing compared to the games over 170 character roster.

In the long running Musou or Warriors series, the Orochi titles come as a massive mash up of the series two main entries, Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors. Warriors Orochi 4 is the fourth main line entry into the series if the numbering threw you off. I grabbed a Japanese copy (called 無双OROCHI３ here) and blasted through it, so let’s see my thoughts on it below. Hello everyone it’s review time!
